Arkadiusz Marchewka completed his doctoral studies at the University of Szczecin, where he was awarded a PhD in Economics. He is also a graduate of the School of Civil Society Leaders and a fellow of the Millennium Leadership programme run by the Atlantic Council. He is affiliated with the Institute of Management at the University of Szczecin, where he is an academic lecturer.

He is a Member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland for the 8th, 9th and 10th terms. Between 2019 and 2023, he served as Vice-Chair of the Sejm Committee on Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation and was a member of the Public Finance Committee.

At the Ministry of Infrastructure, he is responsible for maritime affairs and inland waterway transport.
